The demon lord Yeenoghu just escaped the dungeon on level one after he was summoned by another demon in the Valley of the Dead. I then branchported to Sokoban (and brought him where me), where he then fled down, which apparently is possible according to a suggested change to the Covetous page. Although that page also says under the Movement header that "monsters cannot escape the dungeon entirely." Once we got back to the main Dungeons of Doom branch, he fled repeatedly upstairs as I teleport control teleported to chased him until he escaped the dungeon completely at level 1.

Hopefully he's not wreaking havoc out on the surface somewhere!

I'm not sure how to suggest a change to a page without just straight up editing it myself, although I'm not sure I'm enough of an expert to know that this isn't intended behavior.

Here's a screenshot of the moment (I'm using the Dawnhack tileset) https://imgur.com/a/vhBZOay — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mr Zero (talkcontribs) 04:39, 17 November 2018‎ (UTC)

Turns out he can, in fact, escape the dungeon. As far as I can tell, they could do that since 3.4.3. - Andrio Celos (talk) 04:50, 17 November 2018 (UTC)
The magic-absorbing blade stuns Yeenoghu! Yeenoghu looks fed up. Yeenoghu is still annoyed about the deadly touch bug having been fixed in 3.4.0. Yeenoghu has noped out of the dungeon! Kufat (talk) 15:37, 17 November 2018 (UTC)
I do wish NetHack would allow you to follow him and track him down in the surface world. ...
I'm just imagining what 'Yeenoghu escaped the dungeon' would actually look like. Climbing New York's Empire State Building, a blonde, helpless @ in his strong serifs, pelting swarming biplanes with magic missiles? Someone needs to make a movie about that, with Andy Serkis starring as the purple & sign and Natalie Portman as Ann, the blonde @. Coming soon to ASCII theaters near you. --Luna (talk) 21:37, 16 January 2019 (UTC)
Do you need to borrow a unihorn? Kufat (talk) 21:51, 16 January 2019 (UTC)
You are right, what have I been thinking!!? Of course Ron Perlman would be so much better as Yeenoghu than Andy Serkis. Thanks for the heads up! I'll call Ron right away and tell him to dye his body hair purple... --Luna (talk) 18:24, 21 January 2019 (UTC)
