Hallucinatory monster

From NetHackWiki
Jump to navigation Jump to search

In NetHack, hallucination can cause you to perceive monsters as other beings, including those that otherwise do not exist in the game. These hallucinatory monsters are based on creatures from other roguelikes, fantasy worlds, folklores and popular culture.[1]

Some of the creatures used as hallucinatory monsters may appear as real monsters in SLASH'EM and other variants of NetHack.
