Silver hating
There are bit of information about silver-haters scattered around silver, pet, armor, Shade, and perhaps other places. Where should they be consolidated?
A user has suggested this page be merged with "{{{1}}}"
- silver hating pets don't pick up silver objects
- s h monsters don't wield silver weapons
- do they wear shields of reflection?
- d20 damage docu; silver arrow exception; wearing or wielding rings
- pacifists, take care not to kill yenooghu with a silver wand
- vladsbane

Why would pacifists be afraid of accidentally killing yeenooghu while wielding a wand? Added note about silver haters and items. Silver hating monsters won't touch silver shields as far as I can tell. The rest of that is on there. Blackcustard 17:08, 26 February 2011 (UTC)
monsters with silver in their inventory
Playing SlashEM version 0.0.7E7F3, killed a were-foo that had silver arrows. Do they pick up stuff when in human form, or is it possible he was just spawned with it on his person? --AileTheAlien 23:18, 26 July 2011 (UTC)
- I can't speak for Slashem, but in Vanilla, silver-haters are special-cased never to pick up silver items. Did you make sure it wasn't a death drop, i.e. created after the monster's demise? -Tjr 23:21, 26 July 2011 (UTC)
Strategy
Is a "Strategy" section appropriate here? I'd like to add the tip: christen a silver wand or ring as "silver" so that you remember it's silver even after it's been identified. Netzhack (talk) 08:16, 12 November 2018 (UTC)
