Minor demon

I don't think the tengu is technically a minor demon. All other 'i' get seared by silver weapons, but tengu do not. Anyone know for sure? --Dentarthurdent 21:14, 20 December 2006 (UTC)

They're a "minor demon" in that they're an i, though "demon" might indeed be a misleading name for them.
hates_silver in mondata.c special-cases tengu so they aren't seared by silver. —bcode talk | mail 22:59, 31 August 2013 (UTC)

Generation

What levels do these appear on? 72.186.157.170 16:48, 29 August 2009 (UTC)

For some reason, the wizard quest locate level has many of them. I don't know why. -Tjr 16:51, 29 August 2009 (UTC)

Lawful characters and teleport control

The tengu is lawful. can a lawful character eat it? Assuming you didn't kill it your self.--121.54.58.145 10:45, 30 August 2013 (UTC)

Yes; monster alignment doesn't matter for eating corpses. You can even eat the corpse of a tengu you killed yourself without any penalty. (Of course, killing it yourself is slightly problematic – but that's only a minor penalty.)
(I assume you meant "can … eat it without penalty?"; you can eat a cockatrice corpse without any precautions, but that doesn't make it a good idea.) —bcode talk | mail 14:26, 31 August 2013 (UTC)
Killing hostile coaligned monsters doesn't cause an alignment penalty. --Kahran042 (talk) 22:22, 15 July 2015 (UTC)

Yet another graph

I made this for myself, should we use it? --Cecco (talk) 15:52, 15 July 2015 (UTC)
