The tiger, f, is a monster in NetHack. It is the most powerful of the felines, but unlike most of its brethren, it is only as fast as you normally are.
Strategy
Due to lacking the higher speed of other big cats, tigers can be avoided slightly more easily.
Variants
In dNethack, the tiger is red rather than yellow (f), but is otherwise unchanged.
