(This is meant to be a coherent essay, but I don't have a lot of time so I'll just make the obvious points):

  • Wikis inevitably expand to include all possible information on a subject.
  • The NetHack community is notoriously pedantic and precise.
  • Therefore, if something is going to be included anyway, it's best to include it in an orderly manner.
  • Therefore, completeness is a desirable property for pages to have.
  • However, completeness should give way to usefulness when the focus of the page is on strategy rather than reference.
