Directional spell

Certain spells ask "In what direction?" As with wands, you can answer with any of the standard directions h j k l y u b n, self ./s, up <, or down >. If you provide some other response or try to cancel, the spell is cast in the last-used direction ("The magical energy is released!").

A directional spell (or wand) may also affect several objects or creatures behind the first one it hits. An example of this is healing your pet and a few hostile monsters as well -- or zapping not only your pet with a wand of speed monster, but also a shopkeeper, angering him.

These spells are directional:

Skill level affects spellcasting failure rate, and to hit chance for attack spells. Also, cone of cold and fireball are more capable at skilled or above.
