炼金术罩衫也是少有的能够赋予强酸抵抗的外在来源之一（其他能赋予此特质的装备只有黄[[龙鳞]]及其对应的龙鳞甲）。但是，游戏中能够造成强酸伤害的来源并不多，而且强酸伤害大多容易避免，因此到中后期强酸抵抗并不必要，而且炼金术罩衫也没法为宠物赋予强酸抵抗。不过，它还是有一点作用的，比如说如果玩家想变形成[[夺心魔]]，其可以穿戴炼金术罩衫来防止自己的多段攻击触发酸性怪物（如[[赭冻怪]]和[[珍珠果冻]]）的多次被动攻击造成的高额累计伤害。
