The Armor of Retribution can only be created by combining [[The Sword of Annihilation]] and [[Ashmar]] at a [[Forge (dungeon feature)|forge]]; it cannot be wished for, and will revert to its base item if left in a [[bones]] file.

While carried, The Armor of Retribution grants [[acid resistance]], and is fully indestructible like The Sword of Annihilation; this includes falling off if a character [[polymorph]]s into a large monster while wearing it, rather than being destroyed like other body armor. While worn, the Armor of Retribution grants [[disintegration resistance]], extrinsic [[protection]], [[half physical damage]], [[half spell damage]], increases current [[carrying capacity]] by 200 [[aum]] and maximum carrying capacity by 500 aum, and has a {{frac|7}} chance of knocking back monsters that attack the wearer in melee.

The Armor of Retribution cannot be made into [[dragon-scaled armor]] using worn [[dragon scales]].
