His &quot;[[crowning]]&quot; gift is [[The Ibite arm]], an [[artifact]] gigantic flabby green arm [[club]] that is unaligned, intelligent, and favors Madpeople, it is made of flesh and deals double acid damage. However, it isn't obtained through crowning; three rites of detestation in Bokrug's name must be made using [[rite of Detestation|the rite of detestation]] artifact scroll, in order to become aligned to Bokrug and obtain the Ibite arm.<br /> <br /> ==Origin==<br /> The idea of the god Bokrug comes from the short story &quot;The doom that came to Sarnath&quot;, written by H.P. Lovecraft. In it, Bokrug is the favored god of the people of Ib, residing in their city at the lake in Mnar, near the river Ai where Sarnath was built. After an event which led to the total eradication of the beings of Ib at the hands of the Sarnath's populace, a sea-green stone idol in Bokrug's likeness was brought back to be put up within their temple. Their high priest died shortly after, foretelling doom for Sarnath. Nevertheless, Sarnath flourished, and it wasn't for another 1,000 years until the city disappeared completely, on the eve of the destruction of the city of Ib, leaving only the stone idol behind. Thereafter, many more folk are said to have begun worship of Bokrug in the city of Ilarnek.<br /> <br /> Bokrug himself is very sparsely described in the short story and only in conjunction to either the beings of Ib or their city, or Sarnath's high priests, who were performing ancient secret rites against Bokrug, presumably cursing him and his chosen people.
