条形糖果（candy bar）指各种制作成条状或棒状的甜食，其中巧克力棒是比较常见的类型。除用纯巧克力制作的以外，巧克力棒也可以加入其他原材料制作，比如坚果、焦糖、牛轧糖或威化饼等。自第一次世界大战到20世纪中叶，共有约40,000个糖果品牌进行着条形糖果的大量生产。NetHack中的条形糖果，根据其会打破绝对素食行为的特性推测，有可能是包含了乳制品成分的。

条形糖果的百科文本出自1964年出版，由罗尔德·达尔所著的儿童读物《[[wikipedia:zh:查理与巧克力工厂|查理与巧克力工厂]]》（''Charlie and the Chocolate Factory''），小说讲述了名为查理的孩子意外赢得了前往威利·旺卡的巧克力工厂参观的资格，并在那里经历一段难忘旅程的故事。小说中的巧克力品牌“旺卡巧克力”（Wonka Bar）源自现实世界中的知名巧克力品牌，其在NetHack中也作为条形糖果的商标出现。
