==Generation==
A randomly generated dwarvish spear on the ground has a base {{frac|20}} chance of being made into an artifact, which will always be Dragonbane if it has not yet been generated. Dragonlance can be given to any [[hero]] as a sacrifice gift, though it will never be the first gift given.

==Description==
While wielded, Dragonbane grants [[Warned of monster type|warning]] of [[dragon]]s along with all elemental resistances: [[fire resistance]], [[cold resistance]], [[shock resistance]], [[poison resistance]], [[disintegration resistance]], [[sleep resistance]], and [[acid resistance]]. Dragonbane has +d5 to hit and +d4 damage versus all monsters, and has a {{frac|2}} chance of instantly killing any dragon it hits—in UnNetHack, this chance is reduced to {{frac|5}}.
