In [[dNetHack]], [[notdNetHack]] and [[notnotdNetHack]], the '''drow Priest''' is a combination of [[race]] and [[role]] that is available to the [[hero]], and the [[Drow (starting race)|drow]]'s Priest is markedly different from the standard [[Healer/dNetHack|Healer]] role in several aspects. Women are also known as '''drow Priestesses''', while men are known as '''hedrow Priests''', and both will always start as chaotic.

==Starting equipment==
Each drow Priest starts with distinct sets of equipment based on their gender, as detailed below.

Drow Priestesses receive the following equipment:

Drow Priestesses start with ''Basic'' skill in whips, quarterstaffs and clerical spells, while hedrow Priests start with ''Basic'' skill in two-handed swords and clerical spells. They use the wisdom stat to cast spells, and their race's special spell is {{+ of|sleep}}—the special spell of drow Priestesses is {{+ of|create familiar}}, while the special spell of hedrow Priests is {{+ of|remove curse}}.
