Elder ents subjected to [[stoning]] will transform into [[petrified ent]]s.

==Generation==
Randomly generated elder ents may be created as peaceful towards [[neutral]] [[hero]]es, and are always peaceful towards Druids, [[Ranger]]s and non-[[Infidel]] [[Elf (starting race)|elven]] heroes. An ent can [[grow up]] into an elder ent.

An elder ent leaves behind a [[dead tree]] upon death, unless they are standing in a corridor.

==Strategy==
Elder ents have quite strong melee attacks, but are very slow. A hero invested in keeping a pet ent long-term will want to consider turning any tame elder ents they have into petrified ents, which are slightly slower but have the best [[AC]] and strongest attacks among ents.
