==Generation==
Father Dagon is always generated hostile. He is not a valid polymorph form or genocide target, and [[figurine]]s or [[statue]]s of him cannot be wished for.

Father Dagon is always generated asleep on R'lyeh, the lowest floor of the Lost Cities and the [[Neutral Quest (dNetHack)|Neutral Quest]], where he is placed near the center of the rightmost section close to the river during level creation. A [[statue]] of Father Dagon appears within the Temples of the Old Gods earlier in the branch, where it shares a square with the statue of Mother Hydra—Father Dagon's statue contains a [[Gold (material)|gold]] [[amulet of magical breathing]] and two [[star sapphire]]s.

If Father Dagon is killed, he will reincarnate by transforming from the earliest male deepest one that the hero has encountered outside of the future (i.e. the [[Anachrononaut quest]] and [[Android quest]]), with that deepest one's level and HP being raised to the appropriate values first.
