Is there any way to have all the NAO options without using telnet? I want to play Nethack even when i have no internet, but I've gotten so used to my color coded BUC and health alert colors I can't play without them.

If you're a Windows user, try http://bilious.homelinux.org/~paxed/nethack/nh343-menucolors.zip -- it's a precompiled NetHack executable with menucolors (and hp-monitor colors, I think?) pre-installed. If you're a Linux or Mac user, you might want to compile NetHack from its source code, first installing the appropriate [[patch]]es yourself.
