[[Mephistopholes]] {{magenta|&}} stands on the downstair guarded by a [[pit fiend]] {{msl|pit fiend}} named The Left Horn and a pit fiend named The Right Horn. There are also [[hezrou]] {{msl|hezrou}} and [[lava demon]]s {{red|&}} at the positions shown above.

Additionally, there are four lava demons, one [[magma elemental]], eleven random [[&|{{white|&}}]], twelve random [[object]]s, ten [[land mine]]s, four [[fire trap]]s and five random traps scattered around the level.
