The Ranger's default starting [[pet]] has a {{frac|12}} chance of being a [[winter wolf cub]], a {{frac|4}} chance of being a [[wolf]], and a {{frac|2|3}} chance of being a [[little dog]] named Sirius&amp;amp;mdash;if the option to always start with exotic pets its set, the Ranger has a or {{frac|3|4}} chance of starting with a wolf and will otherwise be given a winter wolf cub.&lt;br /&gt;

The Ranger's quest sees them fighting [[Scorpius]] for [[The Longbow of Diana]], an artifact bow. The Longbow of Diana grants [[telepathy]] while carried, and while wielded it grants [[reflection]] and applies +1d5 [[to-hit]] and +1 multishot bonuses to fired arrows. [[Invoking]] The Longbow of Diana creates arrows with the same [[beatitude]] as the bow and places them in the hero's [[inventory]], with a small chance of producing poisoned arrows.&lt;br /&gt;
