I just got a tip from the Oracle about the controlled level teleport if the scroll is read confused with teleport control. To the best of my knowledge items are normally only otherwise generated inside of rooms, barring bones files and monster deaths. 		+	I was playing slash em' extended one time, and within the first hundred turns, I came across a (probably cursed) scroll of teleportation, and, because it was unidentified and I'm a moron, I read it, and it teleports me to dungeon level 40. I died of course...
