The Eyes of the Oracle cannot be randomly generated or [[wish]]ed for, and will always revert to its base item if left in [[bones]]—it is also one of a small handful of artifacts that can be generated in multiples.

The [[clairvoyant changed]], which can only be found in the [[Android quest]], will always [[Death drop|leave behind]] the uncursed Eyes of the Oracle along with her [[corpse]] and two stacks of human eyeballs: unlike other artifacts, they will not appear as named human eyeballs when generated this way, but can be distinguished from the other eyeballs due to not [[stack]]ing with any of the other eyeballs.

==Description==
While carried, The Eye of the Oracle grants [[magic resistance]] and [[half spell damage]]—its effects are not stacked if the carrier has both of the artifacts in their inventory.

[[Invoking]] The Eye of the Oracle allows the [[hero]] to scry for items as with a [[crystal ball]], provided that they succeed a roll against their [[intelligence]] that depends on the artifact's [[beatitude]]: the check is d16 if the artifact is blessed and d20 if the artifact is uncursed, and the scrying attempt always fails if the artifact is cursed.
