In [[dNetHack]], [[notdNetHack]], and [[notnotdNetHack]], a [[trick weapon]] refers to a weapon that can transform into another weapon, [[weapon-tool]] or [[firearm]] from being [[applied]], or is otherwise inspired by [[Bloodborne]]. Most trick weapons can be randomly generated, and all non-artifact trick weapons may also be wished for. Bloodletter, The Blade Singer's Saber, and The Holy Moonlight Sword are all artifact trick weapons, and both [[Fire brand]] and [[Frost brand]] can be re-shaped into trick weapons, but only by [[Undead Hunter]] [[hero]]s.

All of the following weapons, and their alternate forms, are considered trick weapons. Some trick weapons receive a damage bonus in either their transformed, untransformed or in both modes, noted with {{red|S}} for [[serrated]] weapons, or with {{white|R}} for [[self-righteous]] weapons.

==Origin==
dNetHack's trick weapons are heavily inspired by their counterparts in [[Bloodborne]], though many have been adapted or changed to fulfill new functions.
