A severed hand is a type of meaty comestible that appears in SLASH'EM, SlashTHEM and Hack'EM.
The severed hand is the base item for the Hand of Vecna.

Generation
Severed hands are not randomly generated, though they can be wished for and found in bones containing the Hand of Vecna.
Description
Eating a severed hand confers 40 nutrition and takes one turn; attempting to do so will produce a warning prompt asking if you are sure you want to.[1]
Strategy
Regular severed hands are not of much use as food due to their minimal nutrition, though eating them does not inflict severe damage as ingesting the artifact severed hands would (despite the warning prompt still occurring when you do so). Their rarity may make them enticing keepsakes for certain players.
