Stone dragon scale mail is a type of magical body armor that appears in UnNetHack and SlashTHEM. It is made of dragon hide like all dragon scale mail.
Generation
Stone dragon scale mail is not randomly generated, though it can be wished for (which is restricted to a wand of wishing in UnNetHack) or found in bones. Reading a non-cursed scroll of enchant armor that targets worn stone dragon scales will convert them into mail, with a blessed scroll adding a point of enchantment.
Player monsters that are not monks generated on the Astral Plane have a chance of generating with stone dragon scale mail as their initial body armor before role-specific replacements.
Description
While worn, stone dragon scale mail confers 9 base AC and stoning resistance. Uncontrolled polymorph while wearing stone dragon scale mail will revert them to scales and turn the wearer into a dragon - in UnNetHack, it will turn them into the corresponding dragon, while in SlashTHEM it will turn them into a stone dragon.
