Clarification

An amulet of life saving will save you from death by drowning.

You'll still be in the pool, though, no? meaning if you are surrounded, overtaxed, sleeping, etc, which is why you couldn't scramble out, you'll drown again the next turn anyway. or did i miss something? --194.116.198.185 12:35, 9 April 2013 (UTC)

Normally, when lifesaved from drowning (at least in vanilla; I don't know if SLASH'EM changed that, but I don't think there's a reason to assume it did), you are teleported to a "safe" spot (even on no-teleport levels). (If there is no safe spot on the level, you'll continue drowning indeed, giving the death message "drowned in a drowning" in vanilla. That's quite rare, though, and you pretty much have to cause that intentionally.) —bcode talk | mail 12:41, 9 April 2013 (UTC)
