Cursed when worn

Should it be noted that this item becomes cursed when worn? Because I put a blessed one on, thinking I could just take it off, and it went cursed. Now I'm stuck (as a Valkyrie, though, so it doesn't matter too much).

This is already mentioned in the article. It explicitly says that the dunce cap will autocurse when worn. The autocursing article also mentions that a non-wizard can safely ignore an unidentified conical hat, as it is either a dunce cap (which is of no use) or a cornuthalum, which is of very little use. -- Qazmlpok 23:14, October 9, 2009 (UTC)

Drain for gain

Potentially. It does reduce wisdom which can be used to manipulate Pw gain/loss, but it is auto cursing so you'll need a way to uncurse it each time. If you can't reliably cast remove curse with a spellcasting stat of 6 then you will quickly burn through your supplies of holy water/scrolls of remove curse. -- Qazmlpok 00:44, 29 April 2012 (UTC)
