Their starting scalpel is a very poor weapon, and it is a good idea to replace it with the first noncursed dagger they find, going from orcish to normal to elven in that order, then later with a unicorn horn (with which they can achieve Expert skill).

A tool (or weapon) is as good as its applicator (or wielder). Healers are good with scalpels. They aren't even vaguely competent at the use of digging tools in anger.

It may not be a powerful weapon, but them Healers knows where to cut! ;-) GreyKnight 15:34, 17 August 2006 (UTC)
Ok, I have explicitly pointed out that Healers are reasonably good with daggers and completely hopeless with most big warrior weapons. Ekaterin 09:07, 18 August 2006 (UTC)

One interesting note joke.
