Candelabrum of Invocation

When lighting my magic candle while carrying the candelabrum, it asked if I wanted to attach the candle to the candelabrum, as if I had applied a regular candle. Not wanting to lose my permanent light source, I said no. Would anything special have happened if I said yes? If I had attached a magic candle (or several), would SLASH'EM actually keep track of the number of candles that shouldn't burn out? Would I be able to get a permanent 4-square light radius if I attached 7 magic candles to the candelabrum? -- Qazmlpok 12:31, March 16, 2010 (UTC)

In vanilla, the Candelabrum burns (twice?) as long as the first candle you attach to it. Frugal people first apply one wax candle and then fill up with tallow ones. I'd like to hear from your wizmode testing results. -Tjr 13:14, March 16, 2010 (UTC)
I have no wiz mode, as I've never been able to install a decent version of SLASH'EM on my local machine. The main reason I posted this was in the hopes of someone else doing the wiz mode testing. I did not know that about the first candle thing, though. Hell, maybe you could get it permanently lit with just a single magic candle, although that should probably be considered a bug. -- Qazmlpok 13:24, March 16, 2010 (UTC)
I tried attaching a single magic candle a normal game once. The result was "It looks very ordinary" and a finite light source. Trying this in wizmode confirms that, even with a stack of seven magic candles. The result is "They look very ordinary," and the candelabrum died after about 300 turns or so. On a semi-related note, magic candles do not seem to give the increase in light radius from having large stacks of them. A stack of 49 still gave a radius of 3, the same as a single candle. -Ion frigate 18:23, March 16, 2010 (UTC)
