Snickersnee is a reference to Gilbert and Sullivan's, The Makado. Snickersnee is the blade of the Lord High Executioner. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 150.209.125.238 (talkcontribs) 2 November 2006

Does Snickersnee resists drain life? I can't lower its enchantment with the drain life spell. If so maybe it should be added to the article. --62.57.95.99 23:17, 15 May 2008 (UTC)

Snickersnee does not specifically resist draining, but as an artifact it has a 90% chance of resisting drain, rather than the 10% chance most items have (zap.c, line 922). If you keep trying, it should work eventually. -- Killian 01:46, 16 May 2008 (UTC)

It is not the first gift... I got the Mjollnir before this. --80.222.19.248 13:27, 19 January 2011 (UTC)

Mjollnir is a neutral artifact, while samurai always start lawful. Are you playing as a samurai? Snickersnee is the first sacrifice gift for a samurai. If you are playing as a samurai, you must have permanently converted to neutral at some point in the game. I don't recall if this affects sacrifice gifts; if it doesn't, then snickersnee must have just been randomly generated somewhere in the dungeon. -- Qazmlpok 14:07, 19 January 2011 (UTC)
It does affect sacrifice gifts. --Tjr 05:44, 20 January 2011 (UTC)
