Would you please not cry wolf?

The "Report a problem" link is for reporting problems, not yelling "yeahhhhhhhhhhh". Please don't abuse it.--Ray Chason 18:39, 3 August 2008 (UTC)

I'm sorry? I haven't reported any problems... There must be something wrong....Something is wronger... 82.114.80.218 isn't my IP address (or so says my signature) and the wiki said this was a message on my page...86.163.4.220 22:14, 3 October 2008 (UTC)
I'm sorry, too. IPs are kinda funky; many are drawn from "dynamic pools". You get one today, you get another tomorrow and the IP you had yesterday, some other dude has it today. Go ask your ISP if you want to know the sordid details. But some guy editing anonymously does something he probably shouldn't, and the IP is the best the sysops and other editors have to find him and ask him not to. One reason to create an account is to avoid such misunderstandings, whether you're the silly clown yelling "yeahhhhhhhhhh" on a "Report a Problem" link, or the hapless fellow who got the same IP two months later. You are not required to use your real name.--Ray Chason 00:56, 4 October 2008 (UTC)
I am well aware of the fact that I may create my own account, however, I do not frequent these pages often enough to warrant doing so, thus I would prefer not to, seeing as I probably wouldn't ever log onto it if I did. Thank you for the offer, but I don't want to, at least not for now. I am also aware of the name thing, :) anonymity is one of the internet's greatest characteristics. 86.163.4.220 19:50, 7 October 2008 (UTC)

This is the discussion page for an anonymous user who has not created an account yet or who does not use it. We therefore have to use the numerical IP address to identify him/her. Such an IP address can be shared by several users. If you are an anonymous user and feel that irrelevant comments have been directed at you, please create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other anonymous users.
