Welcome!

Welcome!

Hi, Chris! Welcome, and thanks for joining NetHackWiki!

  • The How to help and Style guide pages are excellent starting points.
  • Special:Recentchanges is a great first stop, because you can see what other people are editing right this minute, and where you can help.
  • Questions? Need help? You can ask at the Community Portal, the forum, or on the discussion page associated with each article! Just remember to sign those posts with four tildes: ~~~~. That will expand to create a signature.

You can put {{NAOplayer|NAO player account}} on your user page to link to your NAO player account. Capitalization matters.

We are really happy to have you here, and look forward to working with you!

This is an automated greeting. -- The Welcome Bot 18:11, 28 Mar 2024 (UTC)

dNethack wiki page

Dude. The whole point of a wiki, is that pages are published half done. There is no point in having your wiki pages kept hidden until they are "ready".--Quantum Immortal (talk) 22:15, 27 April 2015 (UTC)

Just noticed there is a redirect.... It's still a bit weird.--Quantum Immortal (talk) 22:19, 27 April 2015 (UTC)

When I started making dNethack pages, it was requested that I not put them in the main namespace. Given the amount of variant info that has gone into the mainspace since that time, and the fact that I have some players now, the pages that are currently under my namespace should pro~bab~ly get moved out to the main namespace where they are findable.

Word of Thanks

Hi Chris -- thanks for a great variant, and your helpful tips along the way. I finally ascended playing as a Binder, VoR on the server. (George) Wikid (talk) 08:10, 10 May 2015 (UTC)

Linux binary

Just wondering, will you ever create a (pre-compiled) version for Linux via sudo apt-get and the like? Jubilex (talk) 01:53, 11 September 2015 (UTC)

DNAO vs dnethack

What's the difference between the DNAO repo [1] and the main dnethack one [2]? Other than the fact the latter doesn't compile on OS X, is the DNAO one behind or something? They both appear to have been updated within the last couple months, so I can't tell.

BTW, dNethack is pretty fun, nice job with making it.
