This shows IBMgraphics (and color) in KDE's terminal emulator, Konsole. Notice the walls of the rooms, the corridors, the open door (a brown square) and the fountains around the Oracle. To have IBMgraphics working in Konsole, one must:
- Set Konsole to use the UTF-8 encoding, in menu Settings -> Encoding -> Unicode ( utf8 ). Alternatively, run Konsole in a UTF-8 locale, then the Default encoding is also UTF-8.
- Pick a font with all needed characters, in menu Settings -> Font -> Select... . This screenshot uses font "Fixed [Misc]", size 10.
- Run luit -g2 'CP 437' to provide translation from code page 437 to UTF-8.
- Enable IBMgraphics (and optionally color) in NetHack.
Kernigh used wizard mode to levelport to the Oracle and KSnapshot to make this PNG image.
