Acid is a corrosive threat to you, your pet, your metal weapons and armor and your enemies. It can come from monsters, comestibles, potions of acid ("This burns!"), and perhaps other sources.
The following monsters are acidic:
- b acid blob
- b gelatinous cube
- j spotted jelly
- j ochre jelly
- D baby yellow dragon
- D yellow dragon
- F green mold
- N black naga hatchling
- N black naga
- P gray ooze
- P brown pudding
- P black pudding
- P green slime
- & Juiblex
Acid resistance is granted by being polymorphed into acidic monster or by wearing an alchemy smock or yellow dragon scale mail; it cannot be intrinsically granted.
