A dark elven arrow is a type of weapon that appears in EvilHack. It is a stackable projectile that is designed for use with a dark elven bow and uses the bow skill. It is made of adamantine, and appears as an etched arrow when unidentified.
Generation
Drow and centaur characters start the game with knowledge of the dark elven arrow, and any drow character in a role that starts the game with arrows will receive the same amount of dark elven arrows. Drow Rangers start the game with two stacks of +0 and +2 dark elven arrows for their dark elven bow.
Drow lieutenants generate at the Castle on level creation will always have a stack of dark elven arrows for their dark elven bow. Driders have a 2⁄3 chance of generating with a stack of dark elven arrows for their bow, and other non-undead drow have a 1⁄4 chance of generating with a stack of dark elven arrows for their bow, with the exception of drow mages and drow clerics.
Description
Dark elven arrows can be used at a forge to create a couple of items:
- 2 dark elven arrows can be combined with 2 dark elven crossbow bolts while the forge is darkened to create a dark elven dagger.
- 2 dark elven arrows can be combined with a dark elven dagger while the forge is darkened to create a dark elven spear.
