Eyeless

Eyeless monsters do not have eyes. The following monsters are eyeless:

• all bjmptvyFP
• all ​E elementals, but not stalkers

In general, eyeless monsters are protected (or prevented, depending on perspective) from things that affect through the eyes; particularly, many sources of blindness. They have no apparent trouble finding and subsequently killing you; however, whatever sense they move by does not carry over to polymorphed players, who are simply made permanently blind.

An eyeless monster or player is unaffected by:

• a thrown potion of blindness.
• if also breathless, thrown or exploding potions.
• a black light's hallucination attack.
• a floating eye's paralysis attack.

• any blinding attack.
• any gaze attack.
• the blinding effect of a stinking cloud (although they are still subject to the HP loss)

Eyeless monsters are unable to:

• block your kicks.
• read scrolls of teleportation or earth.

Eyeless monsters do not ignore Elbereth as blinded monsters do.
