A frost horn appears unidentified as "a horn". Upon application, the player is prompted for a direction. The horn acts like a wand of cold, sending a beam in the desired direction.

The resulting blast of cold bounces, so be careful around walls.

A frost horn can also be used to change the state of matter of the floor (convert water to ice, etc.).

The easiest way to identify the horn is to apply it and choose a safe direction.

Also see fire horns.
