The grid xorn, X, is a monster that appears in SlashTHEM. It is a xorn counterpart to the grid bug.

Generation

Grid xorns, like grid bugs, are among the earliest monsters you can encounter in the main dungeon.

Strategy

Grid xorns are essentially stronger grid bugs with some properties of xorns - they can walk through walls, eat metal, hit as a +1 weapon and are also resistant to being kicked. Despite all this, they are barely any more of a threat in practice, and can be easily dispatched by all but the unluckiest characters.
