An igniter, @, is a Flame mage quest guardian in SLASH'EM, SlashTHEM, and Hack'EM. They are identical to frosters, the Ice mage quest guardians. Strangely, they lack fire resistance, but possess poison resistance.

Eating an igniter's corpse or tin has a 13 chance of conveying poison resistance, though killing one solely to do so is a Bad Idea.

Generation

Seven igniters are generated in the home level of the Flame mage quest upon level creation, with five stationed in the "audience chamber" of the High Flame Mage's dwelling while the other two are placed randomly.
