Liquid leap is a SLASH'EM technique. Invoking this allows the hero to jump in a straight line. He may jump in any direction in which a wand can fire a ray. The maximum length of the leap depends on the skill level. He may leap through iron bars and out of a bear trap. Liquid leaping in Sokoban carries a Luck penalty.

Doppelgangers acquire liquid leap at the start of the game. Other races cannot liquid leap.
