Luckblade is a neutral artifact short sword in UnNetHack, DynaHack and SLASH'EM. It has a flat +5 to hit and to damage, and acts as a luckstone when carried. In UnNetHack it is the first sacrifice gift for Convicts. It is a broadsword in DynaHack and UnNetHack (in the latter, it is called "Luck Blade").

Strategy

This is a worthy artifact weapon, since it has a decent to-hit and damage bonus. The luck-enhancing ability may also come in useful, especially before the player finds any luckstones. Most players will probably want something better later on, although this weapon remains a decent choice for twoweaponing, preferable to most non-artifact weapons except possibly a silver saber. Note that because it uses the short sword skill, a player who finds this early will have to balance the benefit of training it past basic versus spending precious skill slots on more powerful weapons, riding, #twoweapon, or spells.
