Hello, welcome to Wikihack!

Wikihack is a free community web site for NetHack which you can edit. This wiki will be one big spoiler, so turn back now if you want to figure things out for yourself.

We started this new wiki at 11 October 2005. We already have 4,182 articles, but many of them are short stubs.

Starting points
→ Your character, the hero
→ The Dungeon
Items
Messages
Monsters
→ The source code
Game history
Stuck?
Ask an expert
How can I help?

Would you like to help but do not know where to begin? Here are a few ideas:

→ First, read the style guide. We also encourage you to create an account.
→ Create a wanted page
→ Add links to dead-end pages
→ Expand short pages and stubs
Categorize uncategorized pages
→ If you are a source diver, add and comment some source code

Type the name of a monster, object, or anything interesting from NetHack, then click "MediaWiki:Createarticle". Use lowercase letters for scroll of identify, but capitalise Amulet of Yendor.

Search with dexterity

Type something into the box, then click "MediaWiki:Tryexact" to seek the wiki page of that name, or "MediaWiki:Searchfulltext" to search all of Wikihack for that text.
