A rothe is one of the deadlier early-game monsters. They have many attacks and often appear in packs, somewhat similar to soldier ants.
Strategy
- Fortunately, rothes are larger and move slower than ants, making them far more susceptible to wands.
- Rothes respect Elbereth.
- Rothes only provide 100 nutrition, but appear in groups, so they make a good source of food.
- They also frequently leave corpses, which makes them good sacrifice fodder.
