The scroll of genocide, cost 300, is one of the most powerful scrolls in the game. It allows you to wipe out (or, if cursed, send in) almost any monster or class of monsters in the game.

A blessed scroll of genocide allows you to wipe out an entire class of monsters, an uncursed scroll of genocide allows you to wipe out only one monster, and a cursed scroll of genocide sends in some of the specified monsters. For this reason, it is best to know the b/u/c status of these scrolls before reading.

Reading a scroll of genocide while confused is dangerous! If the scroll is uncursed, you genocide yourself. (If it is blessed it is safe; if it is cursed you send in monsters of your own role.)

Common monsters to genocide include all types of liches, mind flayers, sea monsters, rust monsters, and the like.

Genociding anything breaks the genocideless conduct.
