Allows you to learn the cure sickness spell. Casting this spell cures sickness (food poisoning and illness) and removes slime. This is an emergency spell, and is the special spell of the Healer. It is notable as the only renewable, guaranteed method of curing sickness. However, it is still not terribly useful, as you can generally get rid of sickness by praying in the early game, and by applying a unicorn horn in the later game. The spellbook is therefore a prime candidate for polypiling or overwriting once you have read it for on-demand confusion.
