Monster detection?
I don't think skilled monster detection is a good substitute for telepathy in a foodless game unless you're a Wizard, since casting spells costs nutrition for a non-Wizard. djao 07:04, July 3, 2010 (UTC)
- Good point. Still, it's way better than nothing, and I believe a tourist YAAP first brought this trick to my attention. (Sadly, I can't find the post anymore.) Essentially, even a foodless character with rings of polymorph and polymorph control has access to unlimited nutrition if you can deal with your stats random walking (hint: alchimize potions obtained from throne farming). Trap evasion
If you ride a dragon, do you miss all those obnoxious fire traps, or is it just trap doors, holes, pits? If yes, that could double for fire resistance. — Preceding unsigned comment added by tjr (talk • contribs)
