An Uruk-captain:
|
An Uruk-captain, o, is a type of monster that appears in dNetHack and notdNetHack. An Uruk-captain is a type of orc that is the Uruk-hai equivalent of the orc-captain, sharing similar statlines and the ability to twoweapon - however, the Uruk-captain is faster with stronger attacks, and is both orcish and human as with other Uruk-hai in dNetHack and notdNetHack.
An Uruk-captain has a weapon attack and an offhand weapon attack, and possesses poison resistance and stoning resistance.
Eating an Uruk-captain corpse or tin can convey poison resistance or temporary stoning resistance.
Generation
Randomly generated Uruk-captains are created among a group of Uruk-hai. An Uruk-hai can grow up into an Uruk-captain.
A hostile Uruk-captain may appear as the ruler of a throne room.
An Uruk-captain can be generated with the same equipment as an Uruk-hai: a 1⁄3 chance of an orcish cloak, a 1⁄3 chance of an orcish short sword, a 1⁄3 chance of an Uruk-hai shield, and a 1⁄3 chance of a pair of shoes. They may also generate with a drum, along with a crossbow and a set of crossbow bolts.
