Zruty

The zruty is the monster that uses the lowercase letter z. NetHack describes it thus:

"The zruty are wild and gigantic beings, living in the wildernesses of the Tatra mountains."

Zruty are best known as the NetHack monster, even a Clusty search for "zruty" returns NetHack-dominated results. This makes it difficult to know if zruty exist outside of NetHack.

For some reason, http://www.zruty.com/ sells web page templates, and the web page itself does not use the word "zruty".
