Hallucination resistance

Hallucination resistance is a rare resistance that occurs in NetHack, and protects against the hallucination status property. Wielding Grayswandir is the only source of hallucination resistance that can be found in vanilla NetHack.

Effects

Unlike most other resistances, possessing a source of hallucination resistance does not actually stop the hallucination from occurring - rather, it takes effect as normal, but is suppressed while the resistance is active. If the resistance source becomes inactive for any reason (i.e., you stopped wielding Grayswandir), hallucination resumes as normal with the standard message accompanying it.
