A pair of lenses is a type of tool that appears in NetHack. It is made of glass.
The Eyes of the Overworld are an artifact pair of lenses.
Description
Lenses are used by applying or putting them on; while worn, they protect your eyes from the raven's blinding attack and spat venom, but not from thrown cream pies or other sources of blindness. Wearing lenses when searching improves your chances of finding secret doors and corridors, but not traps. Worn lenses also increase your chances of successfully reading a spellbook by 10%, while reducing the time taken reading by 1⁄3.[1][2]
Lenses cannot be worn at the same time as a blindfold or a towel.
