A dark elven dagger is a type of weapon that appears in SLASH'EM, SpliceHack and SlashTHEM. It is a stackable one-handed weapon that can be used in melee and thrown, and uses the dagger skill. The dark elven dagger is made of wood, and appears as a black runed dagger when unidentified; in SpliceHack, its glyph is also colored black rather than the default brown for wood.

Generation

Drow characters start the game with knowledge of the dark elven dagger, and any drow character in a role that starts the game with one or more daggers will receive the same amount of dark elven daggers.

Upgrading a great dagger has a ¹⁄₂ chance of producing a dark elven dagger.

SLASH'EM

In SLASH'EM, dark elven daggers are not randomly generated.

SlashTHEM

In SlashTHEM, dark elven daggers can be randomly generated like other weapons, and weapon shops and general stores can stock dark elven daggers.

Description

The dark elven dagger is nearly identical to the elven dagger minus its appearance, with the same damage and to-hit bonus.
