If a monster quaffs a potion of gain level, is it possible for it to turn into another monster? E.G., A Dwarf quaffs it, and changes to a Dwarf Lord. --206.75.108.8 17:01, 22 September 2007 (UTC)

Certain monsters do indeed "grow" into more powerful versions of themselves after quaffing a potion of gain level -- and if the more powerful version is genocided, the monster instantly goes poof.--Ray Chason 00:43, 23 September 2007 (UTC)

A slightly different bent, do monsters ALWAYS grow up shen quaffed? I seem to have only ever had that dwarf turn in to a dwarf lord, or gnome into a gnome lord. Why don't they just turn in to a higher level of the same monster? Or am I just unlucky? -- Kalon 00:03, 26 March 2008 (UTC)

Well, logically, they only gain ONE level. 24.91.251.8

Using the potion at level 30

What does taking a level gain potion do at level 30?Gmanyo 11:08, 7 April 2009 (UTC)

You gain hitpoints and energy as though you had just gone up a level, but you remain at leve 30. -- Killian 11:43, 7 April 2009 (UTC)

Throwing at your pet

Can these be thrown at a non-intelligent pet?

Bah, that was a waste. It evaporated, didn't make my pet go past level 9 and took 1HP from him

Will pets follow?

Will pets in adjacent squares follow a cursed !oGL? Does leashing have any effect? Kynde 11:55, March 17, 2010 (UTC)

Monsters will follow you under the same circumstances as if you went up the staircase. Pets will follow if adjascent or leashed, any follower monster will ALSO follow you. See Follower. -- Qazmlpok 12:02, March 17, 2010 (UTC)
